Hello my fellow readers,
Fashion week…It’s like the Word Cup in soccer and a Super Bowl match in American football, but it is much more important for every fashion-curious individual out there. In fact, it is the most important event of the year; occurring twice a year, letting every fashionista-aspiring or established-look into collections, presentations, and be an attendee at shows. It’s the one week during which every woman, who is photographed on the street or at the show, feels incredible, and where the true and exaggerated characteristics of ourselves come out to play through colorful clothing that plays with textile, patterns, and prints. Fashion week is undeniably special, indeed.
This season, as the two previous seasons of NYFW, I went out to the streets of New York to shoot street style photos. If you have read my previous NYFW posts, you probably know how giggly and ecstatic I get every time I get to take a photo of a stunning individual, who is just casually rushing to the next fashion show. Besides, it is always interesting to see how people coordinate their outfits with the sharply changing temperatures in New York. The most interesting thing that I’ve noticed thus far is that it is always freezing and raining every year during the most important week of the winter months. However, fashion week in September can also be slightly “under-the-weather” because of undeniably steaming heat and warm temperatures, which make you want to rethink everything: from your outfits to your seasons. But, it’s always interesting to see how individuals manage to portray their true selves, while still abiding by the temperatures.
New York Fashion Week is one of the most incredible events that I have ever received the chance to experience, and it definitely is the most fun. The rush of photographers to capture the next “It girl,” the adrenaline that follows up right after you beat a crowd of paparazzi and still manage to get the perfect shot, and the excitement that occurs after you exchange business cards and Instagram usernames are some of the occurrences that make fashion week so special to me. Therefore, in order for you to experience some of what I get to experience once in a while, I will stop typing and let you enjoy the photographs that I have managed to capture during my most favorite event.
Thank You for reading, and enjoy yourselves!
